The Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) provides critical care to complex surgical patients requiring intensive monitoring and life-support. The unit operates with a clear mission to deliver life-saving care and optimal recovery through expertise and organized critical care services.

The SICU is equipped with full invasive ventilator support and invasive hemodynamic monitoring. All beds are equipped with invasive mechanical ventilation, non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP/CPAP), centralized oxygen and suction supply, and continuous vital-sign monitoring. Dedicated beds support arterial and central pressure monitoring.

Bedside facilities include a portable ultrasound for procedures such as nerve blocks, arterial line placement, and central venous catheter (CVC) insertion, allowing timely interventions within the unit. The unit is led by experienced consultant anesthetists and supported by trained staff, ensuring structured patient care, supervised procedural work, and regular clinical reviews.
