The General Surgery Department was established in 2015 with just 15 beds. Now the General Surgery Department is a 100 bedded fully equipped department providing open and advanced laparoscopic services, tumor surgeries, emergency and trauma services to ailing patients presenting at Gulab Devi Hospital. A breast clinic was established in 2025 for providing services to female patients presenting with breast related diseases under one roof. It is also a center of postgraduate training accredited with College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan and University of Health Sciences Lahore.

The department’s mission is to provide the highest quality patient care to all people through innovation, research, and training the next generation of surgical health care professionals and scientists who can meet the emerging challenges with responsibility and dignity.
