Introduction

Established in 2013, the Gulab Devi Institute of Physiotherapy is a distinguished academic institution offering a five-year Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. Initially affiliated with the University of Sargodha, the institute is now proudly affiliated with the Government College University, Faisalabad (GCUF)—a testament to its growing academic stature and commitment to excellence in health sciences education. Located within the esteemed Gulab Devi Teaching Hospital, Lahore, the institute provides a dynamic blend of theoretical instruction and hands-on clinical training. It features advanced facilities, including fully equipped Electrotherapy, Kinesiology, and Clinical Skills Laboratories, ensuring students are prepared to meet the evolving demands of modern physical therapy practice.

In a significant extension of its services, the department has developed a comprehensive, multidisciplinary Rehabilitation Center, offering specialized inpatient and outpatient care across all major rehabilitation domains. These include neurological, musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, pediatric, and geriatric rehabilitation, delivered by skilled professionals in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. The center not only enhances clinical learning for students but also plays a vital role in community service, providing affordable, trust-based care for individuals from all walks of life.

Since its inception, the Gulab Devi Institute of Physiotherapy has trained a large number of competent physical therapists who are now contributing to healthcare systems both nationally and internationally.
